BBQ Knife - Custom Order

This knife I originally designed for myself so that I could have something to use when I bbq. I didn't want anything too big, but I also wanted to be able to slice up a brisket for my family. For personal use BBQ, this blade works perfectly. Made from 5/32" Nitro-V stainless steel the blade length is 7", the heal is 1 1/2" tall, and it has an overall length of 11 1/2". The Nitro-V stainless steel is given a deep cryogenic treatment as part of the heat-treating process. This significantly improves the wear resistance as well as stain resistance of the steel.

I've done this knife in several different ways. One is more of a tactical look (fairly unique for kitchen cutlery) with a rock pattern ground into the blade and handle scales. The other is a little more classic with a hand-sanded satin finish on the blade and either wooden or synthetic handle scales. I find the overall shape of this knife interesting because there aren't a lot of blades that can share the same profile but look equally suited to such different finishes.
